Building for Books

Wise Owl House is deeply grateful to master woodcraftsman and all around awesome dad, Rev. Dr. Woodleigh Volland, for building this spacious and sturdy free library! We are evaluating locations and will announce the installation of the library soon.

Compared to a standard free library, which holds between 40 and 50 books, this library can hold up to 100 paperbacks. It is lined with residential-quality siding and finished with roofing shingles. We especially appreciate how this was built with building scraps in the spirit of using the abundant resources around us instead of buying new. We can’t wait to get this incredible library installed!
