Our early learners help to fill the first Wise Owl House

Special thanks to Live 5 News for covering our official unveiling this morning at the Barrier Island Little League Ballfield! Angel Oak Elementary Principal, Ms. Judith Condon, and School Improvement Council President, Mr. James Teeple, along with Kristin Hackler of the Wise Owl House board, announced the unveiling and welcomed attending early learners to cut the ribbon and fill the Library with its first selection of children and young adult books.

Teachers Courtney Small and Robyn Markovic present the Little Owl Early Learning Kit

A “Little Owl Early Learning Kit” was also presented by teachers Courtney Small and Robyn Markovic. These kits will be made available through Angel Oak Elementary school for children from birth to 5, and will be placed in supported Wise Owl Houses around Johns and Wadmalaw Islands. We look forward to many more of these installations!
