Running for Literacy
A cool breeze and partly cloudy sky made for a perfect running day for Liberty Hill’s annual Run for Literacy this past March 1, 2025. We were excited to hand out books to post run participants and their families, with several kids running up to fill bags with some of their favorite books.
The starting line for Liberty Hill’s annual Run for Literacy on March 1, 2025. Participants ran around Park Circle three times before returning to the Felix Pinckney Community Center.
Participants enjoyed great music, hot dogs and beverages, as well as an award ceremony hosted by program leader Robert Fludd and North Charleston Mayor Reggie Burgess.
